One of the most obvious omissions from the iPhone ecosystem is the ability to connect or 'tether' the phone to a laptop in order for it to use the iPhone's 3G connection. This is something that many smart phones such as the Blackberry offer already, and if one email is to be believed, then Apple are looking to correct this omission.
According to Gizmodo, Apple CEO Steve Jobs personally emailed a response to an enquiry on this point.
The enquirer stated that it was "ludicrous that the same thing is not offered with the iPhone" in reference to the tethering plans offered by ATT for the Blackberry.
In response, the Apple CEO responded "We agree, and are discussing it with ATT."
