Daring Fireball reports that Apple has been strangely quiet on one of the features of its free Remote application for the iPhone. It seems you can use the iPhone as a remote keyboard for Apple TV, removing the need to use the up/down/left/right buttons on the fiddly remote that comes with the device to enter text.
It should work automatically: "Any time you need to type on Apple TV, if you have the Remote app open on your iPhone, the keyboard will appear and you can just type on your iPhone instead."
